David McMullen, D.O.

David McMullen, DO


Dr. McMullen grew up in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. After completing a degree in biology at the University of Central Florida, Dr. McMullen returned to NC to receive a medical degree at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated with honors in the inaugural class. He completed his internship and residency training at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital and served as chief resident.


His major areas of focus include evidence-based medicine in preventative care, hypertension, diabetes, weight-management, and dermatologic procedures. Dr. McMullen enjoys cooking, gardening, playing the violin, and running with his wife Caitlin.

Julie Drew, PA-C

Julie Drew, PA-C


Julie Drew, Physician Assistant, is originally from Miami, Florida, and has been a Raleigh resident since 1996. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from East Carolina University. She then earned her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Duke University.


She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Julie has special interest in women's health issues, managing mood changes and Metabolic Syndrome: hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and lipid disorders. She encourages therapeutic lifestyle changes to optimize health prior to the use of prescription medications. Outside of the office, she enjoys running, biking, and camping. She also enjoys the leisure activities made available through Raleigh's Parks and Recreation and the State Park systems, including the Raleigh Greenway and Falls Lake Recreation Area. She is married and is the proud mother of two daughters, Lindsey and Nicole.

Kelcey Meier, PA-C


Kelcey Meier earned her BS in Human Biology from N.C. State in 2013. She later received her MS in Physician Assistant Studies from Methodist University in 2017. Originally from Clayton, she returned to the Raleigh area to join Capital Family Medicine after practicing family medicine in Western NC. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.


She enjoys counseling patients on healthy lifestyles to prevent and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension & hyperlipidemia. Away from the office, she enjoys hiking, cheering on the Wolfpack, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.

Scott Wagner, MD.

Scott Wagner, MD


Originally from northern Pennsylvania, Dr. Wagner moved to Raleigh in the summer of 2003 with his wife Joanne, a Raleigh native and local pediatrician, and his twin daughters, Sarah and Emily. He received a degree in neurobiology from Cornell University and graduated with honors from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine.


After completing his residency at the University of Virginia, he spent three years in private practice in Pennsylvania while instructing at the local residency program there. He has been practicing at Capital Family Medicine at Wakefield since its inception in 2003. Dr. Wagner provides care for all medical conditions in adults and adolescents. He is also involved in medical informatics, specifically application of evidence-based medicine at the point of care.

Elizabeth Williams, PA

Originally from Cleveland, OH, Elizabeth Williams moved to Raleigh, NC to attend North Carolina State University where she earned her undergraduate degree in Human Biology. She later attended Campbell University, earning her Master of Physician Assistant Practice Degree in 2018. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Elizabeth joined Capital Family Medicine after practicing Orthopedic Medicine.


She is passionate about Family Medicine because it allows her to provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages and counsel them on lifestyle changes to prevent chronic illnesses. Outside of caring for her patients, Elizabeth enjoys exploring Raleigh-Durham parks and greenways, traveling and spending time with her husband, Aaron as well as their dog, Daisy and cat, Brady.

Adam Drechsler

Adam Drechsler, MD


Dr. Drechsler grew up in Raleigh and received a degree in biology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he graduated with high distinction. He completed his medical education at UNC as well, where he received his medical doctorate complemented by a focus on primary care. While at UNC, Dr. Drechsler received acknowledgement as a public service scholar for volunteering innumerable hours of service at the local, national and international level.


He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle. He now returns to Raleigh with his wife and high school sweetheart, Robin. A strong advocate for preventative medicine, Dr. Drechsler also has a keen interest in medical procedures. In his free time, he enjoys running, camping, hiking and spending time with his wife.

Jennifer Gamache, MMS, PA-C


Jennifer Gamache earned her BS in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University in 2001. She later received her Masters in Medical Science from Nova Southeastern. Originally from Northern Kentucky, she relocated to Raleigh in 2004 after practicing family medicine in St. Petersburg, Florida. She has been a PA with Capital Family Medicine since 2007. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.


The scope of her practice includes managing acute and chronic conditions with a special interest in women's health. She enjoys having a positive impact on the lives of others and working with patients to maintain a healthy lifestyle. When not in the office, Jennifer enjoys the outdoors along with her husband and two boys.

Tracy Kendrick, MD

Tracy Kendrick, MD


Dr. Kendrick was born and raised in Louisiana. She completed both medical school and a double residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. She has been practicing in the Triangle since 2009. She enjoys teaming with patients to help manage their chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. She also feels strongly about the importance of preventative care and overall health maintenance in order to prevent the development of chronic conditions.


When not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, usually either attending one of their sporting events or enjoying the wonderful outdoor activities the Raleigh area has to offer.

Bhakti Paul, MD, MPH


Dr. B Paul is a board certified endocrinologist practicing in Raleigh, NC. She has a Master’s in Public Health Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she also completed her fellowship in Endocrinology in 2010. She currently serves as the Medical Director of Lifestyle Medical Center in Raleigh, NC. Dr. Paul is passionate about helping her diabetic patients employ non-pharmaceutical interventions to improve and in many cases, reverse their disease.
